Carlinton Estates ASP Bylaw Approved

The planning approvals process is progressing with the Town of Carstairs for our Carlinton Estates development. The Carlinton Estates Area Structure Plan Bylaw 947 was approved by Town Council on April 14, 2009. The fully signed and approved Bylaw is attached. 1st reading of the Carlinton Estates Land Use Bylaw Amendment was approved by Town Council on April 14, 2009, following which a Public Open House was conducted at the Carstairs Golf Club on Tuesday April 21st to provide the general public with the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed rezoning of the Carlinton Estates subdivision lands. Statutory requirements under the Municipal Government Act require a circulation period, which will be followed by Council’s 2nd and Final reading of the Bylaw which is tentatively scheduled for June 8, 2008.

1st Phase subdivision application has been made to the Town and the subdivision plan is presently in the circulation process for comments. Formal approval of the subdivision is contemplated for the late summer with engineering design submission scheduled for early June, 2009. Initial strategy is to obtain all necessary governmental approvals to facilitate the commencement of site works the Fall of 2009, with servicing completion early in 2009 and lot delivery to builders the summer of 2010.
